A canopy of large oak trees over a spectacular playground and open green space. The Howl Britton Dog Parks give big and small dogs their own space to run and meet friends. A pavilion and grill area make it a favorite for weekend picnics — and the pool and deck are one of the best ways to start a Saturday.

The three-acre park at the center of the community, with several pavilions and grill areas, a natural-wood playground, and a spacious event lawn. A quarter-mile trail loops the park for a quick morning run, Woof-field Park at the south end is a dog favorite, and there’s a neighborhood pool and splashpad.

A relaxing green space near the Whitfield Park entrance with great picnic spots. Home to Barker Park, a dog park for pups 25 lbs and under.

A green space in the Homestead Park neighborhood with large shade trees, a pavilion and grill area, an amazing playground, and the Houndstead Dog Park. Its beach-entry swimming pool wades in gradually — easy for the littlest swimmers.

Home to Cunningham Hall, a multi-purpose space for community special events, programs, and fitness classes. The hall overlooks Cannon Lake, where residents can put in a canoe or kayak, run the one-mile trail, or ride the natural-surface bike park.
